Ray Ozzie on DRM

Ray Ozzie has a good post on Digital Restrictions Management and the trouble that users have with the concept: Nondiscretionary Controls: can't live with 'em, can't.... I saw this on Ed Felton's weblog, Freedom to Tinker.

Felton also has some good posts recently.

In Source Code and Object Code he clarifies Lessig's distinction between "source code" and "object code" and points out the nagging problems that might have for the constitutionality of restrictions on code.

I also really enjoy his Misleading Terms category, like "Content Owner".
